How to Get a Allocation on njord.hpc.ntnu.no

by Bjørn Lindi last modified Feb 16, 2010 04:15 PM

To use NOTUR resources, a user needs to apply for CPU allocation on the specific system in NOTUR. Here is a description on how to do this.

Requests to use NOTUR resources can be submitted year around via a web form. The web form is accessed through Uninett Sigma's web pages, https://www.notur.no/application/login.php. The application is processed by Uninett Sigma and the NOTUR Resource Allocation Committee (RFK). RFK grants CPU-allocations twice a year. Typically deadlines for applying is by the end of February and August each year. RFK will grant allocations for the allocation period following the deadline. Hence, there is two allocation periods, one starting 1 April and ending 30 September, named period 200x.1 and the other one starting  1 October and ending 31 March,  named period 200x.2. Uninett Sigma may grant applications between the deadlines, especially to new user groups, if there is resources available. Details about how to apply can be found on the Uninett Sigma's web pages,https://www.notur.no/quotas/
