How to Get a Allocation on Norstore

To use Norstore resources, a user needs to apply for storage space on the specific system in Norstore.

Requests to use Norstore resources can be submitted year around via Norstore Application Form. The application is processed by Uninett Sigma and the NOTUR Resource Allocation Committee (RFK)..

Eligibility Requirements

Individuals and groups from the following organizations can apply for access to the resources in the national eInfrastructure.

  • Norwegian universities and university colleges
  • Meteorological Institute (met.no)
  • Research Center
  • Entities or projects financed by the Ministry of Education and Research (Kunnskapsdepartementet) or the Research Council of Norway (Norges forskningsråd)
  • Industrial parties who contribute to the funding of the eInfrastructure

The applicant must normally hold a permanent position at his/her organization. Master students, PhD students, postdoctoral students, and guest researchers typically cannot apply directly, but should do this via a colleague (e.g., supervisor) with a permanent position at the organization.

 

Norstore Application Form.

Request to use Norstore resources, you have to do 2 things:

1. Send an application to the Notur Resource Alloation Committee (RFK).

2. Then be prepare of answer technical question from Norstore NTNU.

     Send this answers, with your Project Id, to support@norstore.no.
