Where HPCiA07 is hosted and how to get there
CONFERENCE AND WORKSHOP
Inauguration of the new cluster, Stallo, is hosted in Aud. 2 in House no. 1 at Teorifagsbygget. The workshop the second day will take place in House no. 1, the IT-lab. 1.433. Teorifagsbygget is no. 27 in the map showing campus at the University of Tromsø (UiT). This map with a zoom available, show you where the University of Tromsø ("Universitetet") is situated.
FROM THE AIRPORT TO YOUR HOTEL
Tromsø Airport (TOS) is about 15 minutes from the town centre by taxi or bus. The Airport Shuttle Bus (Flybussen) costs about 45 Nkr. Ask the driver to stop at your hotel. Taxis are also available, and cost about 100 Nkr into town. It is also possible to take a city bus (bus number 40 or 42) into town for 23 Nkr.
FROM THE HOTEL TO THE UNIVERSITY
From town to the university you can take buses numbered 20, 21 and 32. They goes regularly from the junction between Grønnegata and Fredrik Langesgate in town. Click here to see the different the bus routes. The bus costs 23 Nkr. You could also take a cab, which may cost around 100 Nkr.
(If you are staying at Scandic Hotel or Havna Hotell, you can either walk or take a taxi. From Scandic Hotel you can also take busnumber 34 or 22.)
SOCIAL EVENT
The dinner on Monday December 10th will be held in Bikuben Selskapsvilla (Kirkegårdsv. 9), a ten minutes walk upwards from the city center, see these two maps: city centre and zoom able map. In the Bikuben Selskapsvilla, we will enjoy an arctic meal and if we are lucky, we will also see the Aurora Borealis.
